Red light therapy is not new. As a matter of fact, it has been around for quite some time now, but only these past few years that it caught the attention of the health, beauty, and wellness enthusiasts. It is used to address various aesthetic conditions, especially to the skin and hair, more so, it can also be used to promote healing. It is also known as the low-level laser therapy because a low level of red light is used to target the skin at a cellular level. It promotes cellular repair and function by targeting the production of mitochondria, which is the cell’s powerhouse.
A red light therapy uses a device that emit red light such as a wand or a red light therapy panel. The target areas are exposed to red light, which will then travel to deep area of the skin making it effective in addressing various skin problems such as acne and discoloration. The red light is better than the blue light because of its ability to seep through the deeper areas of the body promoting cellular repair.
Although there are many types of devices and tools that can emit red light, the one being considered by many is the red light panel because of the following reasons:
- It comes with a strong LED arrays, even stronger than wands and mask. This means that the light emitted by the panel can reach deep tissues allowing healing to take place efficiently. It is perfect to use when treating skin conditions such as deep scars and discoloration along with promotion of healing such as in the case of inflammation, joint pain, and muscle recovery in general.
- A red light panel offers versatility as it can be used on various areas of the body including bigger areas such as on legs and torsos. In other words, it can be used to treat multiple areas in one session. It will help save time and energy both of the aesthetic clinic and the client. A single session that usually last for 20 minutes per area using wand or mask can be reduced to 15 minutes when using a panel.
